New Voigtlander 35mm f2.0 APO Lanthar for Nikon Z mount
The highest-performing semi-wide-angle lens in Voigtländer’s history.
Interchangeable lens for full-frame (Nikon FX format) mirrorless
cameras introduced for the Nikon Z mount under the Voigtländer brand.
The APO-LANTHAR designation is given to especially high performance
lenses in the Voigtländer lens lineup, with the APO designation
representing the apochromatic optical design.
The need for apochromatic optical designs that reduce the longitudinal
chromatic aberrations of the three primary colors (RGB) of light to
practically zero arose with the increasing popularity of color film.
Now, with the current range of high-res digitals sensors, this need for extremely precise control of chromatic aberrations, with the highest contrast and resolution, is even more urgent than when film changed from monochrome to color in the 20th century.
Rather than just being for previously achieved mediums, apochromatic optical designs are indeed a subject requiring the highest consideration in the digital age!
The high performance lens, constructed with 9 groups 11 elements has five abnormal partial dispersion glass, two out of eight elements, each with two aspherical surfaces, and a floating focus system built in.
The lens boasts a performance that will drastically change your image of the familiar “35mm F2” with its ability to produce images, from a minimum focusing distance of 0.35m to long distances without aberrations.
This product uses the same optical system as the popular Sony E-mount and VM-mount lenses, the highest-performance standard lenses in Voigtländer’s history, and has an optical design optimized for the image sensors of today’s mirrorless cameras with the Nikon Z-mount.
This modern lens is equipped with electronic contacts and realizes data communications between the lens and the body.
In addition to Exif information, and in-body image stabilization (on 3 axes), by combining a body with the latest firmware <* 1>, three types of focusing support functions [ (1) focusing by color changing of the focus
point frame (2) peaking function focusing and (3) focusing with the enlargement button] are all
The APO-LANTHAR 35mm F2 Aspherical is the perfect combination of the ultimate optical performance
and compactness, with an overall length of 70.4mm and a weight of 360g for easy portability.
The 12 aperture blades have a special circular shape that is not only at the maximum F2, but at a full range
This allows the photographer to take full advantage of the desirable "blurred ball" effect of a variety of image sources.
